Home: Introduction

“In my 20 years in professional tennis, [Hawk-Eye] is one of the most exciting things to happen for players, fans and television viewers. This new technology will add a whole new dimension to the game,” declared Andre Agassi, seven time Grand Slam winner and fan favorite. Now Hawk-Eye Sensors (Ltd.) is offering every tennis player the opportunity to add a “whole new dimension” to their game.

Hawk-Eye Sensors extends the Hawk-Eye product line beyond that of the artificial intelligence camera based system, by adding a tribo-electric wire thin based sensor system which is placed just below the surface of the court. This system has the ability to accurately call lines to several hundredths of an inch. If approved by the ITF, the Sensors product, working in conjunction with the camera system, will allow players on all courts at tournaments to use the recently adopted “challenge system”.  In addition to courts on the professional circuits, where it will aid the umpires, the easy to use economical system is expected to be used on courts at local clubs, schools, resorts and even personal home courts where it can be used to call the lines real-time or support the challenge system without any umpires or linesman.
