Hawk-Eye Sensors provides choices with respect to how it is installed, how it is used and the options available. It can be installed on different types of court surfaces during the construction process, resurfacing process, or even on completed courts. It supports different line calling approaches including the challenge method and real time computer line calling. The system supports matches having a full contingent of eight umpires on a single court to matches that are self officiated. There are also several choices for the pattern of sensors which determines the amount of computer coverage the particular court will have.
